Introduction to R: core environment components, command-line interface, graphical user interface (GUI). Arithmetic operations. Expressions. Objects, object categories, and data types. Control flow and loop syntax: for, while, and repeat statements. Program development and script design. Result lists. Special commands and control structures. Data visualization in R, multi-panel plotting. Functions and modular design.

 

Introduction to Python: Overview, historical context, domain applications, and key advantages. Basic syntax. Variables and fundamental data types: numeric types, strings, lists, tuples, and dictionaries. Basic operations: variable assignment, arithmetic operations, and standard text output. Conditional statements (if-else branching). Iteration and loops: for and while constructs. Function definition and invocation. Introduction to Data Processing: file input/output (I/O) operations, data manipulation (sorting, filtering, and transformation), and practical application of algorithmic concepts. End-to-end development of a basic application: an integrated case study.
