Περιγραφή Μαθήματος

The course consists an introduction to the Theory of Industrial Organisation and issues of Micro-economic Policy. Industrial Organisation (IO) is concerned with the workings of (imperfectly competitive) markets and industries, in particular the way firms compete with each other. Whereas microeconomics typically focuses on extreme cases of monopoly and perfect competition, IO is concerned primarily with the intermediate case of oligopoly, that is competition between a few firms.
