Περιγραφή Μαθήματος

Anchored on a set of drills and texts from all fields of business (Environment and Business Enterprises, The Modern Business Enterprise, International Economics, Statistics and Economics, Information Technology) this module aims to familiarise students with advanced vocabulary, complex grammar and high-level use-of-English. Through a series of texts discussed in class for reading comprehension purposes, students learn: a) how to elicit meaning from long passages (induction); and b) how to determine and explain the meaning of individual words (deduction). Moreover, through a series of selected exercises, students: a) consolidate and expand their grammar/syntax skills; and b) elaborate on their fluency and use-of-English skills. At the end of the module, students will be ready to proceed with more advanced and specialised writing/terminology issues.
