Course Description

In this course, we will make an entry into the world of statistics and probability.

Starting with the basics in sampling and descriptive statistics, we will then get acquainted with the notion of probability and its properties, proceeding with the main distribution types and parameter estimation methods.

All the above will also be supported via hands on experience using the R statistical software.
