Multimedia Technology Tutorial #2 slightly late

This Wednesday (tomorrow, April 1st) we will have the second tutorial for the class. All tutorials will be held on Room X (basement, old building), 15:00-17:00.

Incidentally, the e-mail server in eclass has a long-running issue with getting flagged as a spam server with Microsoft-issued e-mails (windowslive, hotmail, live, etc.), which means that if you have such an e-mail, you are not getting the announcements. So, tell your friends!

Due to AUEB's celebration of the Greek revolution of 1821 on Tuesday, March 24th (12 noon to 2 pm), the class on the 24th is postponed - it would have to be a single hour class, at best. If you want to see me this week and did not make it on Monday, send me an e-mail, I will be at school on both Thursday and Friday.

Project topic feedback (correction: do not send new proposals if you got 10)

I have added some feedback and a "grade" to your projects. If your grade is 10, your proposal sounds reasonable to me. If your grade is 5, your proposal is either too vague to assess, and either too simple or too complex for your group size, so I suggest working a bit more on it. If your grade is 0, your proposal does not fit the class, you have to do something else. If you got 0 or 5, you can send me your revised ideas by mail. If you got a 10, you do not need to do anything extra.

This Wednesday we will have the first tutorial for the class. All tutorial will be held on Room X (basement, old building), 15:00-17:00, but since we are sharing the room with another class, I will send an announcement when we do have a tutorial (we will do around 4 in total).

Project topics and deadlines announced

A list of project topics, as well as the details on what you should hand in and when, is available in the Documents area of eclass. We will talk more about the projects on Monday March 9, during class. The deadline to submit your proposals via the Assignments tool of eclass is Sunday March 15.

Για το φροντιστήριο, σκεφτόμαστε να το κάνουμε Τετάρτη 3-5 (εναλλάξ με τα Δίκτυα Υπολογιστών του κ. Σταμούλη στο 6ο εξάμηνο). Επειδή την ίδια ώρα διδάσκεται το μάθημα Εννοιολογική Μοντελοποίηση και Οργάνωση Γνώσεων από τον κ. Κωνσταντόπουλο, αν σκέφτεστε να παρακολουθήσετε το μάθημα του κ. Κωνσταντόπουλου, στείλτε μου ένα μήνυμα, ώστε να βρούμε κάποια άλλη ώρα. Αν δεν υπάρξει κανένα μήνυμα ή αναφορά στη διάλεξη στις 24/2 για σύγκρουση, το φροντιστήριο θα οριστικοποιηθεί για την ώρα αυτή.

Λόγω έλλειψης αιθουσών, σκεφτόμαστε να μοιραστούμε την ώρα φροντιστηρίου με το μάθημα Δίκτυα Υπολογιστών του κ. Σταμούλη (δηλαδή, κάποιες εβδομάδες να φροντιστήρια στο ένα μάθημα, και κάποιες στο άλλο). Την ίδια ώρα όμως (Τετάρτη 3-5) διδάσκεται το μάθημα Εννοιολογική Μοντελοποίηση και Οργάνωση Γνώσεων από τον κ. Κωνσταντόπουλο. Αν σκέφτεστε να παρακολουθήσετε το μάθημα του κ. The class slides for today (and the next couple of lectures) are in the Documents area of eclass, in the Course Slides folder. In the General folder you can find the course announcement and the details on grading. There will be an announcement when we get a classroom for the Tutorials and plan the first one - we will do 4-5 tutorials, so we will not have a tutorial every week.
